Whether you think so or not, everything we do as technical writers has a theory behind it.  The text we write is based on rhetorical theory — persuasion. The words themselves are based on language theory. In this section of my portfolio, I discuss theoretical concepts from my Rhetorical Theory and Language Theory classes.
